Tick and Insect Defense is a botanical shield born from the earth’s own arsenal. Eight essential oils, each chosen for their proven ability to deter the insects that would keep you indoors. Lemon eucalyptus and catnip, two of nature’s most studied tick and mosquito repellents, anchor the blend with quiet, powerful authority. Citronella and lemongrass create an aromatic barrier that mosquitoes and flies instinctively avoid. Cedarwood and clove ward off ticks, mites, and gnats with the deep, grounding power of old forests. Geranium and lavender round out the defence, deterring mosquitoes and midges while softening the blend into something that smells like a wild meadow at dusk — not a chemical spray.

The Ritual: Shake well and mist over exposed skin and clothing before heading outdoors. Reapply every 2–3 hours or after swimming. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.

Shipping will occur on most weekends but not on holidays. If Spell House is experiencing a high volume of orders, you may experience a delay in shipping. If this is the case you will be notified.Â

1. How long are shipping times?
Your products will ship within two days of your order, and then take up to two weeks to reach your doorstep, depending on location.Â
2. What's your return policy?
Instead of returning items, you can contact us for a full refund. Why? Returns run counter to our emphasis on sustainability: every return has a carbon footprint. So just tell us what went wrong, send along a pic, and we’ll give you your money back in full. Then, if possible, you can donate your product to a local charity or recycle it.
3. Can I cancel my order?
Cancelations are possible if you do not receive your package within the timeframe specified for each individual product. Sometimes orders get sent out before we can process the cancelation. So if you cancel your order but still receive the package, then please go ahead and do one of three things: recycle it, donate it, or enjoy it.
4. What happens if I receive the wrong item?
If there’s an issue with your order -- if it’s the wrong size, wrong colour, defective, or otherwise not exactly what you wanted -- then simply notify us, and we’ll give you a refund. You won’t be asked to ship the product back to us.
5. Do you offer exchanges?
We do not offer exchanges. However, if for any reason you didn’t get the exact product you expected, just let us know and we’ll get you a new one.
6. What makes this incense different?
Spell House incense is a charcoal based incense, meaning, it produces less smoke than traditional incense. It is oil based rather than wood and resin based and sticks are 10" in length giving them a longer burn time (up to 1 hour).Â
7. Is it safe to burn incense?
All scents are made from Spell House oil blends that contain zero phthalates or harsh chemicals. All materials are ethically sourced, vegan based with no animal testing. Â
